Criteria to apply: We will only accept applications from candidates who meet the following Criteria:

- certified by the BACB (RBT, BCBA or BCaBA) OR

- are currently enrolled or completed a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis AND

- live in Cardiff/Penarth/Newport and surrounding areas.

Type of contract: Hourly pay, term-time only (39 weeks per year), employed position

Client Hourly rate: £12.00 to 15.00 per hour (plus holiday pay). An admin unit rate will be paid for internal meetings outside client time.

Standard client working days/hours: Between Monday and Friday, Between 8.30 and 6pm. This could be a full day (e.g. 8.30am to 4pm) or part time sessions of 2 hours. We are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility to start building a caseload gradually. A paid lunch break will be provided for staff working over 6 hours per day.

Additionally to your client hourly pay, we will also pay an administrative rate for general communication/work required outside client time (non-billable time). You will need to offer us some flexibility for meetings outside client time. You will be working in multiple locations as required.

Job information:

We are seeking to employ 1 enthusiastic ABA Tutor (Behaviour Technician) to provide 1:1 support and implement ABA based interventions to children and young people in Penarth, Cardiff, Bridgend and Newport areas (South Wales). Availability for after school sessions will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will working with an experienced ABA team and needs at least 1 year experience delivering ABA home programmes.

The programmes are ran by experienced Board Certified Behaviour Analysts. You will be teaching these young people in school and at home, and supporting them in accessing the community to build social, leisure and functional living skills.

Training will be based on behaviour analytical principles which will need to be incorporated into the role. You need to be enthusiastic, keen to learn, to have good interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be employed by Blossom ABA Limited and will be entitled to pension and holiday pay.

You will be required to undergo training, communicate with the team outside client time and attend meetings outside time with the client as part of this role so additional hours will be required and they will be paid at an administrative rate.

Out of term time work may be available depending on client/business needs.

Essential criteria:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to create rapport with the learner and their family.
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills.
- An undergraduate degree in related subject.

- A minimum of 1 year experience as an ABA tutor or Behaviour technician working in home programmes.

- An MSc. on ABA and you need to be certified with the BACB as an RBT, BCBA or BCaBA or working towards certification.
- 6 months to 1 year experience working with children with developmental delays in the learner's own home or educational setting.
- Willingness to work at the learner's own home, school and in the community (full training and support will be provided).
- Understanding of how to implement procedures and record information.
- A valid, clear enhanced DBS check

- You must be able to drive and to have a valid UK driving licence and own a car.

Desirable Criteria:

- A BSc. in child development, psychology or any related subjects.
- Experience in running ABA interventions at home and school settings.
- Experience working with older learners (10+) in a community setting.
- Availability for cover of other behaviour technicians when required.
