Blossom ABA Limited, Reflection on the past two years

Happy new year!

One more year starts and we have celebrated two years of Blossom ABA Limited as a company, as well as so many achievements that came along with it! 🎉

I started Blossom ABA Limited out of a true desire to support families which, like mine, were after quality ABA services. I also wanted to invest in training practitioners since I have always loved teaching and training. 📚

Our progress to date includes input from a fantastic team of highly experienced professionals behind me to ensure our services to clients and staff run smoothly in the background. 💡 Shannon (OBM), Jackie (HR), Angharad (Accounts) and Emma (Business support), we had so many intricate questions in the past two years, given the nature of ABA services and current UK set up so thanks a lot for your time and undivided attention. We got here with so much done! 🥲

Thank you to our wonderful staff who have done their best to support our clients and adjusted to learn how the children and young people best respond. Thank you also for listening, giving back and building such a positive rapport with our young people and families! 💬

Thank you to the amazing families, school staff and independent practitioners we work with for welcoming our teams and for their invaluable feedback. It's always wonderful to go back and see how much progress our learners have made 👏👏👏

Our list of achievements as a company is huge but I will list a few below:

⭐️ Blossom ABA was founded in October 2017, and we became a limited company in Autumn 2020 (during the pandemic!).

We have been...

⭐️ employing staff, providing training and support that aims to promote health & safety in work, and to be sensible and responsive to clients and staff individual needs.

⭐️ expanding our services to different counties in the UK.

⭐️ commissioned by Local authorities to provide services both in mainstream and special education settings.

⭐️ continued investing in in-house staff services and training, including grading and training packages (thanks to our staff, OBM and HR combined input).

⭐️provided parent coaching to a charity (5 amazing cohorts to date!).

⭐️ run online training and webinars.

⭐️ gained preliminary and full accreditation as a Behavioural Centre of Excellence by the BHCOE.

⭐️ set up various school based ABA programmes in secondary schools. Some negotiated before tribunal but we have also had tribunal wins (a recent one in December)!

Over the last couple of years we also became better at leading and steering the company in the direction we want it to go. We want to stay focused on providing bespoke, high quality ABA services and working with people who share similar values. Brene Brown and Aubrey Daniels have highly influenced my practice, and we will continue growing in quality with like minded staff and clients. 💎

We are committed to providing the services we signed up to provide, and to stay true to our commitment to our families and schools with understanding and compassion. Although this was a challenge during the pandemic, we did our utmost best to meet our client requirements then and this remains our focus going forward. 📜

This year we want to continue focusing on recent advances of the science, implementing measurable and achievable goals, learning and developing our current staff training plans, including Acceptance and Commitment Training and clinical practice company training. 📈📑

We will continue accessing resources and receiving mentorship on trauma assumed services within our roles, not because we want to become or call ourselves trauma experts, but because we want to deliver compassionate services that take into account people's traumatic experiences. This added training supports staff services and it is crucial when we are programming for our clients. 📊

One more year, I'm wiser, more resilient, still very passionate and thankful for our staff and small daily achievements which are huge for us 🥰

I will finish this reflection with some final thank yous.

Thanks to my husband Phil for his support these last couple of years when I've needed flexibility ❤️ also to my amazing kids, who continue teaching me as they grow into fabulous humans 👣Thank you to our Malu, our cockapoo for keeping me company whilst I've worked such long hours <3

Thank you also to everyone who has crossed our path, who have walked or continue to walk with us and for the opportunity you have given me to serve you all. 🙏

Take a look at our revised website!

I am looking forward to the year ahead and can't wait to keep sharing our joys and learning experience with you all. 🙂

A wonderful 2023 to you all!
