Katie Francis, Behaviour Technician
I am a devoted behaviour technician based in South Wales, who is enthusiastic about positively impacting the lives of the children, young people and families I work with. I have achieved a first class Psychology with Counselling degree in the University of South Wales in July 2020. I developed a strong passion for Applied Behaviour Analysis when I came across a module that was part of my degree. I started working in home programmes as a behaviour technician for Blossom ABA Ltd. in September 2020.
I have experience working with children and adolescents with a diagnosis of Autism, in both home settings and mainstream schools. As a behaviour technician, I implement interventions designed by the programme BCBAs and supervisors. I thoroughly enjoy seeing people progress and develop. I also take young people out into the community to support them with learning functional independence, social and life skills.
I have experience working with children and young people of different profiles and backgrounds and have undergone a great amount of training on how others can be best supported, which helped me teach them ways to express themselves, ensuring their needs and wants are met.
I am a very energetic, bubbly, uplifting individual who always aims to put a smile on everybody's face and make sure that everybody feels accepted, respected and valued for who they are. As a behaviour technician working for Blossom ABA Ltd., I am committed and passionate to empower people I work with.
