Bespoke ABA Services

Coaching, courses and presentations for parents and practitioners

Description

From her experience as a parent, Roni understands the pressures parents and carers are under and she incorporates principles of mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her practice.

ACT stands for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and it brings a unique approach to dealing with thoughts which allows individuals to gain more brain flexibility, accept that trying to avoid or change thoughts is not productive and engage in alternative techniques based on mindfulness (acceptance that thoughts do not go away), cognitive defusion (separating ourselves from our thoughts), being present (enjoying and focusing on the now), self as a context (practicing self-analysis and reasoning with oneself), values (e.g. Family, friends, work) and committed action (setting realistic goals and working on bettering self).
