Meet the Team

Ana Abar, Senior Behaviour Technician, B.A.

Description

Ana is an autism mum who is working towards her Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the Queen's University Belfast. Ana is one of our associates and she is a bilingual ABA Therapist, providing services in both the English and the Portuguese Language in the London area.

Her daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in 2016. Ana decided to quit her career as a journalist to become a full-time carer and set up her daughter's ABA programme. Ana shadowed every single session and, once she learnt the basics of ABA, she started working with her daughter alongside the team, joining all meetings, discussing targets and strategies and getting trained by consultants and tutors to improve her performance.

Ana has completed the RBT course at Queen's University Belfast, Early Interventions and Genetics of Autism courses by CBI of Miami and SCERTS by Emily Rubin. She has a special interest in early learners.
